Active Learning

UCNS believes in the power and purpose of play. Our highly qualified and dedicated teachers are inspired by The Bank Street Method and look to the Emergent Curriculum to help guide children on their early learning journey. 

In keeping with our school mission, we offer an ever-evolving curriculum that: 

• Develops socialization and listening skills 

• Increases the development of fine and gross motor skills

• Promotes sound health, safety, and nutritional practices

• Enhances cognitive skills based on individual readiness

We also know that family involvement in a child’s school is an essential ingredient in optimizing a child’s education, and we create and encourage opportunities throughout the year for families to be involved in our special school community.
